Tennis is my childhood and lifelong sport. Being an athlete has helped me be a better coach, mentor, leader, and role model for others in my life.
I chose to be an Ambassador, so that I can introduce meaningful changes for my province. As someone who has grown up in PEI and has coached many other women who seek to build their confidence, I wanted to create more opportunities for women and girls to grow through their passion for tennis and sport.
I am a Master of Public Health Student and am completing a full-time practicum at the Chief Public Health Office in PEI alongside my courses. I am a casual worker in the admitting department at my local hospital. In the summer I am coaching part time and beginning a new summer job as a bartender and volunteer as the COO of a local biomedical engineering startup. I am also participating occasionally in local volunteer opportunities in PEI, and hope that through my role I can create partnerships between Tennis PEI and other local organizations. I am currently enrolling in the Club Pro 2 course being instructed in Halifax for 2026.
My dream doubles partner is someone I can trust to cover the court when I am moving around. They can recognize when I am faking and poaching the net and have a timely reaction. They are someone supportive and strong, who will not get upset over mistakes and misses. They are positive, but can create enough pressure and focus in critical moments.
