Biography

Marjorie Leeming enjoyed great success in the Canadian Open. She won the singles title in 1925 and 1926 and was four-time runner-up (1924 and 1930-1932). She also won three women’s doubles titles two of which were partnering her sister. She also won the mixed doubles twice with John Proctor.

The 1930 Canadian Open was held in Toronto and Leeming then traveled to the US Open. She reached the quarter-finals of the women’s singles. Two years later she and her sister reached the semifinals of the women’s doubles at the US Open losing 7-5, 7-5 to an English team.
