Sam Thompson is a Partner and Managing Director at PricewaterhouseCoopers Corporate Finance Inc., providing advisory services for private business owners on divestitures and capital transactions. With over 20 years of professional experience, Sam is known for delivering comprehensive transaction support, from deal origination and valuation to marketing, negotiation, and closing documentation. Her expertise includes sale mandates for private companies, strategic planning, business turnarounds, and valuations.

Sam holds the CPA, CA designation, is a Chartered Business Valuator (CBV), and a CFA Charterholder. She graduated with distinction from the University of Victoria with a Bachelor of Commerce where she was also an AIEJ scholarship recipient.

Beyond her professional achievements, Sam is a passionate advocate for youth involvement in sport. As the parent of a teenage son who competes in high-performance athletics, she is deeply engaged in the sporting community and champions the positive impact of sport on youth development. A passionate tennis advocate, Sam loves to show her enthusiasm for the sport by both playing, and cheering from the sidelines.
