$120/player, includes singles and doubles.
Event Waiver (Must be signed by ALL players AND coaches/guests)
Registration includes airport transfers, hotel to venue transport, 4 breakfasts, 4 lunches,
tournament dinner, and a player package.
Tennis Canada is pleased to offer travel grants for players to attend the 2026 Birmingham
National Wheelchair Tennis Championship. Travel grants are available courtesy of the
Birmingham family. The submission deadline is Thursday, October 29th.

Official Ball: Wilson US Open Extra Duty
A minimum of 4 new balls will be provided for the first and third sets of the Main Draw
matches.
Court Surface: Indoor, Hard
Events: Men’s Open, Women’s Open, Quad, Junior; Singles & Doubles
Draw: Wednesday, November 11th at 4:00pm at the UBC Tennis Centre
Format: Final format for each division will be dependent on the number of entries and court
availability. Final decisions will be at the discretion of the Tournament Committee.
All singles matches shall be best of three sets.
Advantage scoring shall be used in all matches (singles and doubles).
Doubles: Pairings should be submitted online with registration by the entry deadline. If a
player needs assistance finding a partner, contact the Tournament Director prior to the entry
deadline.
Doubles draw will follow singles draw.
Best of three sets, with a 10-point match tie break in lieu of the third set.
Eligibility: Canadian citizen or permanent resident.
Rules and Regulations: The Tennis Canada Code of Conduct will be enforced.

Participation is mandatory.
Group Photographs: A large group photo as well as team photos will take place following the
opening ceremony.
Friday, November 13th at 7:00pm
Dinner will be hosted in Room 2306 in the UBC Nest. Doors open at 6:45pm. All players and paid
guests are invited.

Championship Tournament to receive the group rate.
Players are responsible for booking their own hotel. To request an accessible room or shower
chair when booking online, please indicate in the comment section.
To secure transportation from the airport to the tournament hotel, flight info must be
submitted to the Tournament Director (makenna@bcwheelchairsports.com) by Friday, October 23rd.
Please include flight number, arrival time, and number of passengers.
Nearest airport: YVR Vancouver International Airport. Approximately 30min from the
tournament hotel.
We ask players not to book any departure flights on Sunday, November 15th before 7pm to ensure they do not interfere with final matches and awards. If for some reason you are unable to book a flight at 7pm or later, please contact Makenna (makenna@bcwheelchairsports.com) PRIOR to booking your required flight.
Daily Shuttle: A tournament shuttle will be making regular loops from the tournament venue to the hotel throughout each day of match play. Limited hotel-venue shuttles will be provided on Wednesday for practice court times. A sign up sheet will be distributed closer to the event.
The following meals will be provided for all registered players and registered coaches/guests:
Breakfast: A light continental breakfast will be available at the UBC Tennis Centre ahead of
matches Thursday through Sunday.
Lunch: Available starting at 11:30am at the UBC Tennis Centre Thursday through Sunday.
Dinner: Players and guests are responsible for their own dinners, with the exception of the
tournament dinner.
Fruit and protein bars will be available at all times at the tournament venue. Electrolit and
water will be available on court during match play.
There is a wide selection of food options available on campus. A short 5 min push from the
hotel is University Blvd which has a number of restaurants including Browns Crafthouse, Nori
Bento, Jamjar Canteen, Chipotle, and more. A Tim Hortons is located on the ground floor of the Gage Suites hotel building. Great Dane Coffee and JJ Bean are also a short push from the hotel. There is a Starbucks, Bean Around the World, and Perugia Cafe within a 5 min push from the UBC Tennis Centre.
If you’d like to purchase any groceries, Shoppers Drug Mart has a limited grocery selection
which is located on University Blvd about 5 min from the hotel. There is also a larger Save On
Foods located in Wesbrook Mall, about a 25 min push from the hotel or a 12 min bus ride.
Awards will be presented on Sunday, November 15th at the UBC Tennis Centre immediately
following the final matches.

The UBC Hospital is located between the tournament hotel and tennis centre on campus. It is about a 15min push from either location or a 5min drive.
Nearest Pharmacy: Shoppers Drug Mart (5940 University Blvd, Vancouver, BC)
Practice courts will be available at the UBC Tennis Centre on Wednesday, November 11th from 2-7pm. As well as Thursday - Sunday before match play.

A repair technician from HME will be available on site daily. Limited spare parts will be for sale.
If you are in need of something specific, please contact the Tournament Director ahead of time
to see if it will be available.
Offsite next day stringing will be available at a cost. Tournament staff can deliver racquets to
and from the stringer as necessary. Please see the tournament desk for assistance.
At the hotel: Paid parking is available at the hotel. The daily rate is $18+tax. Please check in at
the front desk to receive a parking pass.
At the UBC Tennis Centre: A limited number of accessible paid stalls are available directly
outside the tennis centre. Additional accessible stalls and parking are available in the
Thunderbird Parkade on the other side of the street.
