$90/player, includes singles and doubles. To be paid by Provincial & Territorial Tennis Associations.

Players must sign-in in person or by phone, with the referee. No text messages or emails will be accepted.
Deadline: March 21, 1 hour after qualifying matches finish.
Only players participating in the main draw are eligible to enter doubles.

QUALIFYING DRAW REGISTRATION & PAYMENT
(Available February 24, 2026 for Qualifying Players)
$90/player, payable at time of online entry.
Players who qualify for the main draw, or are not selected to play qualifications, will be reimbursed their entry fee.
QUALIFYING FORMAT
Boys and girls U16 singles.
32 boys, 32 girls
4 boys and 4 girls will qualify for the Main Draw.
Two singles matches will be played on March 20, followed by the final round on March 21 to determine the qualifiers.
QUALIFYING ELIGIBILITY
Players who have competed in the Junior Nationals provincial qualifying process and not gained entry to the Junior Nationals, or players approved by their respective Provincial Association.
QUALIFYING ACCEPTANCE LISTS
Acceptance lists will be forwarded to the Provincial Associations and posted on the Tennis Canada website on March 13. The top 32 ranked boys & girls entered based on the U16 National Bank Rankings as of March 10 will be accepted into the Qualifying event.
Players not accepted into the Qualifying tournament will be placed on the Alternates list in an order of priority, based on the National Bank Rankings, as per the above criteria.
Withdrawals from the Qualifying tournament will be replaced with players from the Alternate list.
SIGN-IN
Players accepted directly into the Singles Main Draw or Qualifying events, are not required to sign in with the Referee.
ALTERNATES
All entered players on the Alternates list and any non-entered players who wish to be considered for the draw, but did not register by the deadline, must sign in by phone or in person with the referee, March 19, 1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Players must present their passport information page or permanent residency card at sign-in, to verify their Canadian status.
The referee will announce a sign-in time for the first day of play for any Alternates who wish to be considered for the Qualifying event, should a potential spot open up due to injury or withdrawal.
Qualifying Draw: March 19, 2026, following the close of sign-in.
Singles Main Draw: March 21, 4:00pm.
Doubles Main Draw: March 21, following the singles draw.
National Bank ranking points may be earned for the Main draw only.
Ranking points will not be awarded for the Qualifying tournament.

COURT SURFACE

All participants are required to complete and sign the Tennis Canada Sport Safety Code of Conduct & Discipline and Complaints Policy as part of their registration.
All players must be a Canadian citizen or Permanent Resident at the time of the tournament. All players entering Qualifying who did not participate in the 2025 Fischer Indoor National Championships must submit their proof of Canadian citizenship or residency to ccoulter@tenniscanada.com within 48 hours after the entry deadline (March 13th @ Midnight) or they may be removed from the event.
An important education tool that defines a standard of behaviour for all parents and creates a more rewarding, safe, and respectful environment for everyone involved.

Free of charge to a minimum of one parent/guardian for each athlete participating in the Fischer Nationals.
Failure of parents to complete this program by the deadline will result in the ineligibility of their child to participate in the Fischer Nationals.

Group photo will be taken immediately following the player meeting.
It will be the responsibility of each provincial coach to arrange transport for their players to and from the hotel/airport, by sending any transport requests to Francis Nantel-Chaput at fchaput@tennis-ids.com by March 8, 2026.
After this deadline, transport requests are not possible, and provinces will be required to arrange their own transport.

Parents of ALL players under the age of 21, are required to complete the Travel Consent Form.

Any parent/guardian/coach wishing to video a match, must obtain written consent from the players’ parent/guardian/coach and the Tournament Supervisor/Referee.

QUAL: Qualifying

Qualifiers: 4 qualifiers will be added to the draw based on the results of the Junior Nationals Qualifying tournament immediately preceding the Main draw.
Any unused TC spots will be returned to Tennis Canada and not be re-distributed.
If a player withdraws from the Provincial Base Allocation, that Province may replace the player at any point, up to the scheduled draw time.
In the event that an extra player is required to even the draw size, Tennis Canada will add a Lucky Loser from the Junior National Qualifying tournament.
Additional Junior Nationals Spots:
Withdrawals from the Under 16 Junior Nationals main draw prior to the commencement of the March 20 & 21 Qualifying tournament will be filled as follows:
1. If the withdrawal is from the base Provincial Association allocation, the spot goes back to the province.
2. If the withdrawal is from a player who gained entry through a NTC, NJTP, or Out of Country Spot, the spot is returned to Tennis Canada and not redistributed.
Withdrawals from the Under 16 Junior Nationals main draw after the March 20 & 21 Qualifying draw has been made may be filled beginning with the losing quarter finalists as follows:
LUCKY LOSERS
On the day of the completion of the qualifying, all players who lost in the last round of qualifying will automatically be considered for a Lucky Loser position. Therefore, it is the player’s responsibility to inform the Referee by the end of the qualifying if they do not want to be considered for a Lucky Loser position. Players who lose in previous rounds of qualifying should sign in with the Referee before the end of the qualifying competition.
Lucky Losers will be ordered as follows: The order of players with a national ranking will be randomly drawn, then the order of unranked players will be randomly drawn and placed below those players with a national ranking. The Lucky Loser order will be published on site and is available from the Referee. It is the responsibility of the player to ascertain their position on the list.
Lucky Losers must be present and sign-in in person with the Referee at least 30 minutes before the scheduled start of play, to be eligible. The deadline will be set by the Referee and announced on the Order of Play. Lucky Losers may not sign in by phone.
Notes:
Tennis Canada reserves the right to add additional spots to the Junior Nationals main draw due to unforeseen circumstances. This will only occur when extra spots are available.
