While the youngsters have been stealing most of the attention for the last two weeks at the Fischer Outdoor Junior Nationals, the older generation got their due on the weekend at the Steve Stevens Masters Tennis Championships, which wrapped up on the weekend.

45 champions were crowned in Montreal with age divisions from over 30 all the way up to over 85, with groups of five-year intervals.

The finals were played at three venues on Sunday: Monkland Tennis Club and the Mount Royal Tennis Club in Montreal, and the Dorval Tennis Club in Dorval, QC.

Eight players won multiple titles in their same age group, winning both the singles and doubles. Those players were:

  • Annabel Anderson (Over 60)
  • Cora Wills (Over 65)

Gaelle Simian was the lone competitor to win titles in two different age brackets. She won the over 35 women’s doubles title with Ariadna Noriega and claimed the over 45 singles titles.
