The Granite Club in Toronto will host the 2025 under 16 Fischer Outdoor Junior National Championships, with the main draw beginning on Thursday.
Fresh of his boys’ singles title win at the U18 Outdoor Championships at the Ontario Racquet Club, Andy Tchinda Kepche of Quebec looks to complete the double by hoisting the trophy at The Granite Club.
Also from Quebec, U16 Indoor Championships winner Antoine Généreux is a part of the field. Généreux was a finalist at the U14 Outdoor Championships in 2023.
After a successful 2024 on the U14 level, which included winning the singles and doubles title at the Outdoor Championships, Callum Mackinnon of Ontario will seek out his first U16 Fischer Junior National Championships crown.
On the girls’ singles side, Charlize Celebrini of British Columbia was a runner-up in the U18 Indoor Championships earlier this year but has dominated in doubles, winning both the U16 Championships in 2024 and the U18 Indoor title this past April.

Ève Thibault is a U18 and 14 doubles finalist as the Quebecker will look to make her first Fischer Junior National singles final after finishing as a quarter-finalist in the U18 Outdoor Championships just last week.
Defending boys’ and girls’ champions, Benjamin Azar and Lily Rochon, are not entered into the tournament so new champions are set to be crowned on finals day on Tuesday, August 5th.
