Team Canada will look to kickstart November with some silverware as the under 16s land in Cairo, Egypt, for the 2026 Billie Jean King Cup and Davis Cup Junior Finals.

The girls are represented by Isabella Ruyu Yan, Amy Shen, and Elisabeth Djabourian; and are captained by Sharon Fichman. Ruyu Yan and Shen were both Fischer Junior Nationals singles champions earlier in the year, winning the U18 and U16 Indoors title, respectively. Djabourian’s callup comes after she was named as a new member of the National Tennis Centre presented by Rogers’ class of 2026-27.

Canada’s Billie Jean King Cup Junior Finals group features Romania, who the Canucks will open the event against on Monday, as well as Slovakia and four-time reigning champions, the United States.

The boys begin their Davis Cup Junior Finals campaign on Monday too. Callum Mackinnon, Marc-Édouard L’Allier, and Thomas O’Neill will don the Maple Leaf in the Egyptian capital, with captain Zack Ohlin. All three players won titles at this year’s U16 Outdoor Nationals – O’Neill hoisted the singles trophy, while Mackinnon and L’Allier were triumphant in doubles.

Canada’s first tie comes against Australia, before matchups versus Serbia and hosts Egypt.

The last time Canada won either competition was in 2015 when Félix Auger-Aliassime and Denis Shapovalov led their nation to the Davis Cup Junior Finals title. Just over a decade later, the two will represent Canada at the Davis Cup Final 8 in Bologna, Italy, later this month.
