Tennis Canada is pleased to announce the appointment of Ulrich “Uli” Sprenglewski as National Coach of the Atlantic Provinces, High Performance, based out of the Atlantic Tennis Centre in Halifax, NS.
Sprenglewski possesses an exceptional international resume and proven experience in athlete development. He is a DTB Level A coach, the highest coaching qualification issued by the German Tennis Federation and is the recipient of the 2022 DTB Coaches Award, one of Germany’s finest coaching honours.

Previously, Sprenglewski served as Regional Coach for the Rhineland Tennis Association, where he played a key role in identifying and developing high-potential junior athletes. Most recently, he was the Sports Director and Head Coach of MTTC Iphitos e.V. in Munich, one of the country’s most prestigious clubs.
Throughout his career, Sprenglewski has worked with several professional players ranked among the world’s Top 100 and had coaching roles with the Spanish Billie Jean King Cup team and the German Junior Davis Cup team.

This hire represents an important step in strengthening Tennis Canada’s high-performance pipeline in Atlantic Canada, bringing international experience that will be extremely valuable in developing the next generation of high-performance players.
