The two players who will face off for top honours in the final of the inaugural Tennis Canada VR Tournament presented by the motorola razr are now known following six weeks of exciting competition featuring Tennis Esports contenders from around the world.
Catt84 from Great Britain and VRJ from India finished atop the leaderboard to book their places in the championship match which will be held on Friday, August 11 at the National Bank Open presented by Rogers. Catt84 will play from the VR Play booth in Montreal while VRJ will be in Toronto at Sobeys Stadium. The champion will take home a grand prize of $10,000, the most prize money ever awarded for a VR tennis tournament.

The two players quickly distinguished themselves from the field out of the gate and maintained their place in the standings throughout.
In total, 826 players took part in the tournament which consisted of two Tennis Esports competitions: Hit ‘em all, a tennis precision challenge, and Instant Cup which is made up of real-time head-to-head VR tennis matches. From June 19 – July 30, 8,996 Instant Cup matches were contested and 984,790 Hit ‘em all games were played.
