Bianca blasts Flipkens to reach maiden Grand Slam third round

There’s no stopping Bianca Andreescu right now. Fresh from claiming the Rogers Cup presented by National Bank title in Toronto, the 19-year-old looks on course for a deep run at the US Open. Facing three break points in just the second game, the teenager rallied and took the initiative from the Belgian on her way to clinching the first set 6-3. In typical, relentless fashion, though, Andreescu evened things up almost immediately before going on to take control once again. However, it wasn’t until she was 6-5 up that the youngster finally struck the killer blow.
