Gabriela Dabrowski is a champion again in New York.

The Ottawan and her partner Erin Routliffe won their second US Open title in three years on Friday, defeating top seeds Katerina Siniakova and Taylor Townsend in straight sets on Friday 6-4, 6-4.

It is Dabrowski’s second Grand Slam women’s doubles title and her fourth major overall to go along with her two mixed doubles majors. It is also Dabrowski’s first Grand Slam victory since being diagnosed with breast cancer in the spring of 2024.

"I feel extremely grateful to be standing here as a champion alongside you [Erin] today. It means the world. Thank you for the support," said Dabrowski post-match. "Those who are here and those who are still at home watching. We love you so much. To the tournament. Thank you for always making this event better every single year for the players. Thank you for your partnership with the players. We really appreciate it. We hope to continue working together in the future to make this tournament and to make tennis the best sport in the world. We think it is, and without your support, it wouldn't be possible."

Dabrowski and Routliffe never trailed in the final. The two sets followed similar patterns with the Canadian Kiwi duo breaking early, getting broken back, only to secure a second and decisive break when their opponents were serving to stay in it.

In set one, the initial break came in midway through the set as they moved ahead 4-2. Routliffe was broken serving for the set at 5-3 but she and Dabrowski responded by breaking Siniakova in the next game to take the set.
