Ariana Arseneault got a major boost in the Road to the NBO as the Richmond Hillian picked up her maiden ITF singles title at the W15 Trois-Rivières this past week.
The top seed was perfect on her way to the final, with her most emphatic win coming in a 6-2, 6-0 victory against eighth-seeded Michaela Bayerlova of Czechia in the quarters.
Arseneault was one of two Canadians in the semifinals as No. 7 seed Ana Grubor also didn’t drop a set en route to the final four, defeating three countrywomen prior to her semifinal match against fourth-seeded Dasha Ivanova of the USA. Grubor couldn’t complete the all-Canadian final as she lost out in straight sets to Ivanova.
For the title, Arseneault had the perfect start, securing a first-set bagel. Undeterred, Ivanova took the second set and managed to force a decisive tiebreaker in the third.
Arseneault held her nerve to take the match 6-0, 5-7, 7-6(3), her second consecutive win over Ivanova after the two met at the Tevlin Challenger in October.

The Canadian’s first professional singles title brought her into the Top 3 in the Road to the NBO race, now seven points behind leader Katherine Sebov.
Arseneault nearly doubled up in Trois-Rivières, but it was Ivanova who was on the winning end this time. The Richmond Hillian reached the doubles final alongside Esther Adeshina of Great Britain, battling Canadian Alexandra Vagramov and Ivanova for the trophy. The title match went the distance but the Canadian-American duo dominated the decisive tiebreaker as they won 6-3, 3-6, 10-2.

Vagramov secured her third-career ITF doubles title, winning two in 2025.
M15 Sherbrooke
The host nation wasn’t as prosperous at the M15 Sherbrooke, but Nicaise Muamba did get a shot at a title in doubles.
Muamba and teammate Reece Falck of New Zealand stunned second-seeds Alvin Nicholas Tudorica of Canada and Rares Teodor Pieleanu of Romania in the first round then won a tight three setter against Canadians Benjamin Azar and Miko Lapalme in the quarters.
Muamba and Falck reached the final with a straight-sets win in the semis but finished as runner-up to Oliver Okonkwo of Great Britain and Gavin Young of the USA.
In singles, Dan Martin and Volodymyr Gurenko were the only Canadians to make it out of round one. Top-seed Martin was stunned by American qualifier Drew van Orderlain in the second round while Gurenko lost to No. 5 seed Taha Baadi of Morocco.
The final featured Daniel de Jonge of the Netherlands and doubles champion Young. After taking the opening set in a tiebreaker, de Jonge sealed his second ITF title of the year with a 7-6(5), 6-3 win.
