Keith Carpenter competed in the U.S. Nationals at Forest Hills from 1960 to 1969 advancing to the third round in 1964 and the fourth round in 1965. Carpenter played in the Wimbledon Championships from 1963 to 1968 and the French Open in 1963 and 1966. He reached the second round of the main draw at Wimbledon every year from 1963 through to 1966 and the round of last sixteen of the doubles in 1963.
Carpenter represented Canada on the Davis Cup team from 1963-1968 and competed in both singles and doubles play in a total of seven ties.
Carpenter attended in Montreal where he received a Bachelor of Science degree. He then went on to operate a tennis court construction company with former Davis Cup teammate, Harry Fauquier. Their company is called Tennex Systems Inc.
Carpenter is still competing on the Seniors ITF tour in the men’s 65 age category and has been National Seniors Champion in the 45, 50, 55 & 65 age categories.
