Congratulations to the 2025 Recipients

The nomination period for the 2025 Tennis Canada Recognition Awards has now ended. We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to all the individuals and organizations who took the time to submit a nomination and highlight the exceptional contributions of our tennis community.

We also extend our heartfelt congratulations to all of the 2025 honorees. Their commitment, passion, and contribution to the development of tennis in Canada are an inspiration to the entire community.

Nominations

All nominations must be submitted by two Canadian citizens aged 18 or older and may recommend individuals, companies, associations, municipal parks, recreation groups, and private or community clubs/venues. The awards are presented in conjunction with the provincial or territorial association, as part of an appropriate event held in the province of the winners. Furthermore, active members of a tennis organization, as well as previous recipients of a Distinguished Service Awards, are not eligible for nomination.

The DSAs are awarded to people, associations and/or companies who have made a lasting contribution to the development of tennis in Canada. Their commitment has played a key role in positioning the country as a world leader in tennis.

To be considered for the award, the candidate must have a record of involvement (minimum five years) at the national, provincial or community level in one of the following areas:

Demonstrating an outstanding commitment to the sport as an organizer of tournaments, leagues, special events or developmental programs and activities.
Making a significant contribution to the growth and popularity of tennis through club management, community club involvement, parks and recreation programs, elementary and secondary school programs or university leagues and events.
Contributing to the development of the sport by providing leadership in the areas of coaching or technical expertise including site and court design.
Acting as a positive role model for youth by demonstrating exceptional sportsmanship and commitment to the game of tennis.
Making a significant or ongoing financial contribution in support of events, leagues or developmental programs.
Creating a heightened awareness and interest in tennis through media or the arts.
Making a significant contribution to tennis as a volunteer in tournaments, promotional activities, community initiatives, or any other development program that promotes the growth of the sport.

Standing requirement: All nominees must be in good standing order with their Provincial and Territorial Association, and Tennis Canada.

Identify a deserving candidate in your community.
Solicit a seconder for your nomination.
Complete the below nomination form including all relevant information.
Attach letters of support, media articles or any other written documentation.
Complete the nomination form by February 16, 2026.
Tennis Canada reviews and verifies the submissions.
Nominators will be notified of the status of the application in the spring (2026).
Awards will be presented at a suitable occasion in the recipient’s province of residence.
