In order to provide a method of annually ranking Masters players in all recognized age groups, a ranking program called a National Year-End Ranking was developed based on a points system. Specific tournaments are designated by Tennis Canada and the provincial associations for ranking eligibility, with points being allocated based on the category of event.
In order to be eligible for a National Year-End Ranking, a player must compete in at least two events, one of which must be the National Outdoor Championships. The rankings program is administered by the National Masters Tennis Committee on behalf of Tennis Canada.
