This week on Match Point Canada, Ben and Mike are pleased to welcome former Top 20 WTA player and current ESPN tennis analyst Alexandra Stevenson to the podcast for her first-ever appearance on the pod.

Stevenson talks at length about the ups and downs of her career and how hard it was to finally hang up the racquet in her late 30s.

She’s kept very busy since retirement with her television appearances as well as starting her own podcast called “Serving Aces” and working towards the completion of a book about coaching young tennis players which she has recently found time for as well.

The hosts and their guest dive deep into the state of women’s tennis today, examine all the results from the WTA 1000 event in Guadalajara and also focus on the merits of the Laver Cup which just concluded in Vancouver on Sunday.

It was a bounce-back effort for Canada’s own Felix Auger-Aliassime who helped secure the title for Team World with his strong play in both singles and doubles.

Listen to our newest episode of Match Point Canada, available on Megaphone, Apple Podcasts, or Spotify below. Enjoy!
