The junior draws at the 2025 US Open saw some breakthroughs for the Canadians competing. It was the first time in a while that Canada was represented in both the girls and boys draws and the two Canucks both achieved personal milestones.

Nadia Lagaev, Canada’s top junior, picked up her first match wins at a junior Grand Slam event in both singles and doubles.
In singles, she defeated Latvia’s Beatrise Zeltina in straight sets 6-4, 6-4 for her first-ever match win at a major. The Canadian was a bit unlucky with the draw, though, and had to face the top seed, Julieta Pareja, in the second round. The American won 6-2, 6-2.

Volodymyr Gurenko is the top-ranked Canadian boy and the only one inside the Top 200, coming in at No. 98. After his US Open performance, Arseneault climbed 45 spots to No. 309, although the 18-year-old's ranking is deflated since he is playing more professional tournaments.
