The final ITF Junior events of 2025 held in Canada took place over the last month and they wrapped up with a bang. At the final tournament of the year on Canadian soil, the host nation dominated, taking all four titles.
Here is the monthly junior tennis update by Har-Tru.
The J100 event in Woodbridge took place near the end of October and the Canadians swept the tournament. Not only did players from the host nation come out on top in each draw, only Canadians even reached the finals.
Across the four all-Canadian finals, six different Canucks lifted the trophies. Xavier Massotte and Anastasia Malysheva were the singles winners. Enoch Lin and Quincy Yao took the boys doubles, while Elicia Lin and Clemence Mercier won the girls doubles.

Malysheva and Lin both reached the girls singles and doubles final, the only two Canucks to reach the final in two draws. Malysheva got the better of Lin in the singles final but Lin and Mercier beat Malysheva and Neda Rahimkhani in the doubles.

On the boy’s side, Massotte bested Dani Szabo in the singles final while Enoch Lin and Yao took down Felix Roussel and Brayden Woo for the doubles crown.
Canada had success at the two events out west in the weeks prior albeit not to the same degree as in Woodbridge. At both the events in Richmond and Victoria, BC, the hosts won two titles.

Before going on to win the doubles in Woodbridge, Enoch Lin was a singles champion in Victoria. Rafael Bote was also a winner in the British Columbia capital, winning the boys doubles with American Daniel Malacek.

Player Spotlight: Yolanda Pang (Prince Edward Island)
In collaboration with Tennis PEI, we are highlighting Yolanda Pang, a young player who has been tearing it up down east in 2025.
At just 14 years old, Pang delivered some spectacular results this year against players in higher age brackets. In February, she won the U16 girls singles at the Indoor Junior Atlantic Championships and reached the U18 doubles final against girls significantly older than herself.

Through the spring and summer, Pang cleaned up at local events in the Maritimes, including U16 and U18 victories at the East Coast Open as well as women’s doubles and mixed doubles titles at the PEI Open.

Then at the Summer Atlantic Junior Championship, she picked up three gold medals. Pang won the singles in U16 division and then swept the U18, claiming both the singles and doubles crowns. Remember, she is just 14. As a result of her wins, she was named Sport PEI Athlete of the Month in July.
Congratulations on a great season, Yolanda. Keep up the good work!
